The DI/OT System Board serves as the core control module within the Distributed I/O Tier (DI/OT) ecosystem.

Main features:

  • Standard Compliance: The board is strictly mechanically and electrically compliant with the Compact PCI Serial (CPCI-S.0) standard, ensuring robust industrial interoperability.
  • Specialized Execution: It features dual executions tailored to meet the distinct integration and operational requirements of both the CERN and Sinara ecosystems, specifically for quantum physics applications.

Core Functionality:

The DI/OT System Board efficiently manages the entire DI/OT crate, providing:

  • Peripheral Control: Communication and control for up to 8 Peripheral Boards.
  • High-Layer Connectivity: Seamless communication with higher layers of the control system via multiple high-speed and precision interfaces, including:
    • White Rabbit: For sub-nanosecond synchronization.
    • Gigabit Ethernet: For high-throughput data transfer.
    • Industrial Fieldbuses: For broad industrial system compatibility.

This board provides a high-reliability platform essential for time-sensitive, complex control applications.
