Phaser is an EEM (Eurocard extension modules) realizing the function of RF generator with 1.25 GS/s data stream and including dual IQ upconverters. This configuration allows for variety of applications e.g. the Software Defined Radio (SDR), extending by some COTS components as a modern 4G/5G wireless system. Generator is based on 16-bit resolution parallel DAC DAC34H84. Depending on the variant different number of DAC channels is available. In Baseband variant two output are populated via SMA connectors in front panel, while other two via MMCX connectors directly on the PCB. If Upconverter variant is used, only first pair is available. The signal amplitude in the SMA connectors outputs may be regulated using digital attenuator as in Urukul module.

This module offers also two channels of ADC with 5 MS/s sampling rate and 16-bit resolution. The topology of module Sampler is used.

The Phaser time accuracy is dependent on the input clock source. The system internal clock via MMCX connector may be introduced or any external source could be connected via SMA interface.
