Mirny
Mirny is an low-cost Eurocard Extension Module (EEM) operating as wide-band microwave synthesizer realizing similar function as Urukul but in RF domain. Mirny’s mode of operation is based on VCO/PLL (ADF4355, ADF4356, ADF535 or ADF5356) what results in output signal frequency range from 50 MHz up to 6.8 GHz in four independent channels. The bandwidth can be expanded by additional extension board Almazny.
This module is characterized by low jitter and high frequency resolution but simultaneously no phase control is allowed. The output amplitude level may be set by digital attenuators. It is also predicted the customization of product by implementing output filter as an integrated solution or any discrete-element configuration.
The 4hp wide front panel contains the SMA connectors for every channel and one as external clock input for accuracy improvement.
